Fernando Coelho
I’m a Portuguese street photographer and writer based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. I have a background in applied sciences, which perhaps influences my creative work. I create black-and-white photographs that merge fine art, geometry, and abstraction to explore how light, shadow, and time shape human presence in public spaces. I often stretch time in-camera by using slow shutter speeds, reflections, and intentional movement to reveal stories that lie just beyond the obvious. I also regularly write about the ideas, processes, and ethics behind my photographs to help others see—and feel—their streets with fresh eyes.
