Verity Borthwick has been published in The Best Australian Stories 2017, Meanjin, Island, Vestal Review and the UTS Writers’ Anthology. She has been shortlisted for the Island Nonfiction Prize and the Furphy Literary Award. Verity started writing in the downtime during her PhD in geology so she didn’t go mad. She currently spends her days taking care of her two sons and writing in the in-between spaces. She is studying a Master of Arts in Creative Writing at UTS.
