Elanna Herbert has lived in Canberra, Perth and rural NSW. Her work has been published in StylusLitAxon: Creative Explorations, Australian Poetry AnthologyWesterly, Not Very Quiet and Meniscus, among others. In 2020, Elanna was awarded a Varuna ‘Writing Fire Writing Drought’ fellowship and was runner-up in the Qld Poetry Festival’s Emerging Older Poet’s Mentorship. She has a PhD in Communication from the University of Canberra. Her debut poetry collection, Sifting Fire Wirting Coast, was published by Walleah Press in 2023. She has been shortlisted for several awards, and she won the June Shenfield National Poetry Award in 2020 and the Marion Eldridge Award in 2001.
