Shey Marque

Shey Marque is a poet from WA with a background in molecular biology and haematology. She has published two poetry collections both with UWA Publishing Keeper of the Ritual in 2019, which was shortlisted for the Noel Rowe Poetry Award, and The Hum Hearers in 2025, which was shortlisted for the Dorothy Hewett Award in 2023. Her poetry has been published in the Australian Poetry Journal, Cordite Poetry Review, Going Down Swinging, Island, Meanjin, Overland, Southerly, Westerly, and Award Winning Australian Writing. She has been a finalist for numerous poetry awards and has twice won the Karen W Treanor Poetry Prize. She also won the Blue Nib Chapbook Award in 2020 and was the inaugural winner of the QLD Poetry Festival Emerging Older Poet Award in 2018. She also published the chapbook Aporiac in 2016.
