Two people dig up aluminium ant sculpture

Before being contacted by Australian Ant Art I was peripherally aware of the underground beauty found in ant's nests. Upon hearing what they had in mind I was only too keen to jump in and help them document this dig.

Several (extremely) cold mornings on a property outside of Armidale, NSW gave me the opportunity to view exactly what incredible structures ants build for themselves underground, out of sight to regular humans.

The aluminium being extracted from the cold earth seems as silver coral would, the ants' architectural prowess exposed for all to see.
